Are there any real life cases in which a murder victim communicates after death to help solve the crime?
In fiction, I can think of Edgar Allen Poe’s The Telltale Heart.
But are there documented real life cases?

None that could survive the scrutiny of modern science.
Usually if a victim communicates after death, it was a case where they left behind a clue or a recording that was merely *found* after death.

No because being dead means that you can’t do anything at all including communicating.
Those people that claim to be communicating with murder victims either just retell informtion that is already available or say something so vague that where ever the body is found they claim it as a hit – such as near water or near trees.
Syliva Browne is particularly good at getting it wrong.

What movie is this boy killed in hunting accident?
So in the movie this little boy like 12 years old gets shot in a hunting accident and the men decided to bury him. A couple years later they feel so guilty that one of the guys decided to tell the mom what happened. She thanks him and them goes and buries up her son and buries him in a grave yard. She then starts killing little boys the same age who didn’t have moms and burying them around her son so he isn’t lonely.. Anyone know the name of this movie???? It is really bugging me. Thanks

LIVING WITH THE DEAD aka TALKING TO HEAVEN (2002) — starring Ted Danson
This two-part CBS TV movie was filmed as Talking to Heaven, the title of the autobiographical book upon which it was based. Ted Danson stars as real-life psychic James Van Praagh, a man who spent much of his life ignoring or denying his clairvoyant gifts until it became impossible for him to suppress them any longer. After experiencing several “visitations” from dead people in his youth, Van Praagh was tagged as a freak and shunned by friends and family members alike. It is only during a particularly difficult period of his adult life that James is willing to acknowledge his special talents, and then only because he has had visions of a forlorn young boy with bound hands. Galvanized into action by such grim images, not to mention the plaintive voices of several additional ghostly youngsters, James agrees to assist the authorities in locating the buried victims of a serial killer who may still be at large.
