Do you think that the universe and evolution might have a purpose?
I mean I think about it. Science takes the philosophy of materialism and believe nothing besides matter or energy exist so no god exists, no afterlife and no purpose. But really the universe began to exist. It didn’t exist and it began to exist. Science doesn’t know how. Maybe this was the work of a god. But what are the chances that a planet would be able to support life? I would say one in ten million. But just because a planet can support life doesn’t mean life will happen. How does inanimate matter become alive? I do not see how alone that is possible. Everything in the universe has no purpose so life shouldn’t really begin. Someone said for life to come out of an inanimate matter by itself when the conditions are right is like saying a car can come out of inanimate matter by itself when the conditions are right. So the chances are much smaller again. Even if life can happen, what are the chances that a self-conscious being with the right body can ever come out? Two things about being human is that we have both the right body and the mind to do things in the universe. Imagine if an animal like a horse became self-conscious? It wouldn’t be able to do anything as it doesn’t say straight or have hands and fingers. These qualities allow humans to do things. I believe it was the famous psychic Edgar Cayce who said that spirits guided apes to evolve into humans from the basic things they were doing. Why would apes gradually evolve into humans? Maybe nature wanted an animal that has enough intelligence to be able to overcome many limitations of nature. But isn’t evolution enough for a perfectly adaptable animal to come into existence? No other animal became self-conscious. If you take into consideration all these odds together the chances of these things happening is about one in a trillion or one in trillions times trillions. Do you think maybe the universe may be conscious and guided our planet and evolution to end up where we are today? It seems to me to be reasonable there is some sort of higher purpose and meaning to living.
Stevenson- Why is the Edgar Cayce part misconstrued? You gave me his quote that was really great. Thanks.

The present moment is a result of the entire history of the universe emerging from potentiality fulfilling itself and becoming actual, when condition permit. Since matter and energy cannot be destroyed, only made to change form. Therefore, everything has always been, and will always be, in one form or another. Everything is it’s purpose and meaning.
Science does not recognize the existence of God only the physical material existence of things. This is flawed logic, because it excludes the possibility of the nonphysical world, which is believed to not exist because you can’t ‘see’ it. Also science doesn’t recognize that God is omnipresent, eveything at all times, thus God is matter and energy. There is nothing but God.

The universe has a definite purpose. The part about Edgar is misconstrued. As a child in the woods a voice came to him and asked him what he would like to do with his life- he said “to help people” and devoted his life to that purpose. He was a firm believer in God.. It was for this reason that during world war II while giving updates to people on their loved ones abroad he didn`t give himself time to rejuvenate between each and was detrimental to his health.
~As we continued to use our godly powers, we became more fascinated with them. We began to focus more and more on our own creations and became less concerned with and attentive to their harmony with the Creator, with the Whole. The more we thought of just ourselves and our own desires with less regard for the Whole, the more self-centered we became, eventually perceiving ourselves as separate from the Whole.
Of course, this sense of separation was all in our minds, so to speak, because there really was no way we could exist outside of the Whole because everything was of spirit. It was more a result of our sustained focus of attention on ourselves and our self-interests that resulted in a heightened sense of a distinct and separate self.
This was the beginning of trouble. It led to a very long fall for us. A fall that eventually left us feeling alone and separated from the rest of life, even to the point that we, who were actually companions and co-creators with the Universal Creator, today come to think of ourselves as little more than dust-like creatures, descendants of apes and inhabitants of a planet on the outskirts of a typical galaxy in the endless and diverse universe.~ Edgar Cayce

The things you talk about are an illusion. There is only your desire, a component that senses itself. Within your desire, you feel constant changes that depict a picture for you, that you call “world”. Within this picture you sense the existence of what is similar to others, and matter like vegetation, animals etc. That’s what your desires sense; that’s what you sense.

Is there a site or an organization where you can report websites?
There’s this website I go to alot and it’s nothing bad at all, but anyway, it’s www.theinternetforum.net/royalforum and it’s a message board type and there’s these people on here particularly this weird girl who keep on saying they see visions or hear “guides” tell them that Prince William’s future wife isn’t Kate and it’s some other chick and giving loads of descriptions. And I know through this site they have a thread about all these more famous psychics that have made predictions about it years before he was an adult. I just find this rediculous and I think some of these girls have some wishful thinking and I’m sorry I think the site should be reported for fraudgulent claims or something of that sort. Where can I report it?

Get over it. It’s a private site and while it might be annoying report it to the people who run the site they can do what they want with what is essentially their own private property. It’s their choice to do something or not.
It’s would be a scary world if you could report a site for having content that you find annoying or against your personal opinion.
