I’d suggest checking out the TAPS (the Sci-Fi channel Ghost Hunters guys) website and asking on their forum. Lots of people from all over on their forum, but no doubt some New England folks too.

I rather doubt you will find a forum dedicated explicitly to New England with regards to the historical data relating to haunted houses and / or witchery…
Stories to be told are truly exagerrated on the open market as an entrapment for tourism in NE as well as any place else…
There were / are very few real “haunted” incidents in New England history and most those heard of were conjured up by authors with a vivid imagination mesmerized in the unique quietzone so often found in the six NE States…
The House of Whisler in Lowell, Massachusetts is one of the very few authenticated that I am aware of. The Newfoundlake area of New Hampshire is known for its ghostly happenings and appearances quite often in the woodlands West of the lake and was basis for the story written of Brom Bones, the Headless Horseman. There was a notably appearing ghost near Nathaniel Hall in Boston until the building was torn down and I think the Irish adopted that ghost as a leprechaun…those Irish do love their tea…! Salem claims to have ghosts of all the witches burned, however, only one witch ever was burned and since then it has been discovered she was not a witch at all…
In North Woburn, Massachusetts at the old Mill Pond, now a subdivision of houses, is a ghost of a pioneer that fell asleep while on his horse driven wagon and drove into the pond. His horse was saved and the man was never found. It is said he haunts the area even today in search of his horse…!
At the top of the mountain on Birch Hill Rd in New Durham, NH can be found a gravesite of Samual Adams (not the president) just a few feet away from the first cottage on the left where the road separates the lake there. It is well known good Sam roamed the woods at night searching for kids that got lost in the forest there during the day and chases them back to their respective cottages for safety…
There are many stories told, blackned, but are truly just conjectures of an interesting mind…
You could do a google search of ghosts of New England and find endless entertainment…
Have fun…it is…

If you have precognitive dreams that predict future disasters?
What is the point if you can’t do anything about it (i.e. don’t have enough specific information from dream about EXACT location). Especially if the dreams are stressful?
I have precognitive dreams, and the locations are relatively exact (relative location of bodies of water, parks, shipping ports…etc..and all in one dream…but that isn’t good enough to say anything). And I certainly wouldn’t want to say something and come off as a loon 🙂
Please..only respectful answers from people who think precognitive dreams are possible.

Yes I have. They are scary too.

This is a very good question to ask. Many people have these types of dreams, and it does seem cruel that we have them, when we are powerless to stop the coming disaster. However these dreams are meant for your personal use, and to give U a head’s up for helping those close to U — like family and friends. If others do not want to believe U that is their choice. Use this info to gather other information that might make more sense out of what U R dreaming.
U can do a history check on the area U dream about. U can look up info on the Internet for more proof of the possibility of an impending disaster. The future is already mapped out in general, so our subconscious mind can always access that information.

The thing is with modern society, going off from someone who “dreamed about it but doesn’t know any fine details” doesn’t really help things to begin with and given how society is grown up with everything is more or less evident within the surroundings or is fact, then as far as premonitions go, it’s pretty hard to get people to believe you and even then the really prolific psychics who work with the police and such really only are there to help solve matters after the fact.
If you really want to develop the skill even further and hope to find out more finite details, then I may suggest some form of meditation/relaxation to be more in tune with what you hope to find out. Granted that they are within your dream state, doing this may help you even further. Also you may be able to try this one day if you are going down for a nap or a sleep during the day on a weekend or something. How you go about it really differs from person to person but I find soothing, almost spiritual music helps relax and really get you into it.
I find Enya’s music to be along those lines, just the sound of the music to me seems to connect on a spiritual/psychic level.
It may seem all “why me? What’s the point of it all?” but if you can develop your own senses and get to the point where you can do it within a meditative state or more so just by relaxing yourself for a few minutes and opening yourself up.
As for why? Well some folks are gifted with such ability, I have heard of a psychic (famous from memory as they had predicted certain things with celebs and events) who would be able to predict certain events, be it with celebrities or in general and would make it known in the media, though of course in the end this was merely for entertainment purposes.
I’m a psychic myself, while i’ve mostly shut off my “feelers” for the most part, as it does become troublesome, as I did develop them a few years ago where i became interested in such things and realising my own abilities.
From a young age i’ve had precognitive dreams, though mostly to do with events with me, though from what I do remember I’d have dreams where i’d be in a familiar yet different house which would mean that I would later move house (before knowing that I would, as my father was in the air force so we would move every few years or so) though with me, whenever i’ve had said dreams it was always hard to know when it would happen and how far into the future it would be.
I haven’t had any dreams in recent years, probably due to being able to turn my sixth sense on and off and able to control it more now.
Your sixth sense, everyone has it, its just that modern society teaches us to shut it out and that anything strange, our parents tell us “its nothing”, though some folks have a more natural ability than others, some may only be able to predict only specific things, like you with your dreams, one person i knew was able to predict who would be pregnant and what sex of the baby was, or something along those lines.
As we get older, our sixth sense is more and more shut out and most of the time it’s just that “gut feeling” but for some, it may return at an older age or even again for some, it may never “disappear” at all and just always be there to which they themselves would “train” themselves to use it.
Our sixth sense generally lies dormant within us but for some, it awakens itself or a part of it remains active throughout our life.
I hope this helps and hopefully I didn’t veer too far off from topic or of the like.
