What are Steven Kings greatest novels?
I’ve read Bag of Bones (loved it) and am currently reading Christine. What are his best creations and are there any other novels you could recommend that may be similar to Bag of Bones? ie. involving personal relationships, love, and supernatural activity!

By Stephen King
I loved this book! It is very lengthy, but I have read it 3 times. It scares me to death whenever we have a real-life outbreak of bird flu, swine flu, etc. This book goes in the category of post-apocalyptic fiction, and it really makes you think about the end of the world. Stephen King seems to be psychic. He wrote the book in 1978, but I could easily see it all happening today. You will find all that you are looking for: drama, adventure, complex personal relationships, love, supernatural activity, the fight for survival, and the battle between good and evil.

Second to consider is the plot. As I alluded to earlier, King has used the emptied United States as a battleground between good and evil. Soon after the flu has run its course, the survivors begin having dreams about an old woman (Mother Abigail) who seems to be marshalling the forces of good, and a malign presence (Randall Flagg) who is gathering those who would serve him and his ends. Insofar as the reader knows, the choice is clear-cut, irrevocable and mandatory. It is very much a “are you with us or against us” type of situation. That said, much of the book is devoted to the characters traveling across country to Boulder or Las Vegas (guess which side is where), no mean feat in a world without mass transit, hotels, etc. In fact, King’s writing is so effective, the novel would be fascinating if the characters did nothing but travel around and attempt to reestablish society. The second, metaphysical, layer just makes it all the more interesting.

IT is a boring and slow book, I wouldn’t recommend it until later (when you get used to Stephen King). Try Cujo. The story is set almost entirely in the fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine. The action centers on Cujo, a St. Bernard that belongs to Joe Camber and his family. Although Joe is fond of Cujo, he never bothers to get the dog vaccinated against rabies.
While chasing a rabbit in the fields around the Cambers’ house, Cujo gets his head temporarily stuck in the entrance to a small limestone cave and is bitten on the nose by a bat and infected with rabies. I’d totally recommend this book, you wont be able to put it down :))
I heard The Shining was a bit weird and was a really slow novel, but that’s Stephen King’s style of writing. I’d go for that book.

Why does meditation improve psychic ability?
i’ve heard hundreds of answers that say that meditation improves intuition, sixth sense etc. but why?
Explain it to me, why does alpha state etc. improve psychic awareness?
Suggestion by Spinnaweber
It improves physical awareness and calms the body to the point of being able to think without boundaries. I meditate when im stressed out or have something big on my mind because when im done it allows me to make extremely good decisions.
Suggestion by Megumi
Psychic abilities do not exist, and meditation is a waste of time for most people. If anyone meditates, it should be for the correct reasons, not to try to develop abilities that do not exist.
Suggestion by Avraham
Psychic awareness is about developing senses, on alpha you isolate traditional senses to focus and develop other ones. Be careful.
