What should I ask a psychic?
How specific can I ask the question? What kind of psychic will give me the most specific answers (tarot, palm reading, medium, etc)? Can i ask a psychic what my career will be?
Suggestion by AJS
You can ask all of those things, thats what psychics do.

“When confidential information leaks out of an organization, people suspect a spy, not a psychic.”
–John Allen Paulos, Innumeracy
I’d ask a “psychic” if you can predict the future, why do you need “props” that depend on randomness? Can you pass simple double blind tests that can eliminate any self-deception?
Also why doesn’t a big corporation hire you for a huge salary instead of the much smaller money that you get from gullible people? There is a million dollars waiting for the first person that can prove any paranormal ability or event. Until someone does this, all we have is their word.
If it’s not science, it’s superstition.

Ask whatever you like. But my favorite is: Can I have my money back? They usually know the answer to that one.

I think I may be a psychic medium?
Please only serious answers, because I am serious.
So, I am young (14 years old) but I think I may be starting to embrace my abilities. My mom is psychic to an extent, she has dreams and they come true. They usually involve symbolism. I usually have dreams where I’m at a certain place, and later on in my life (whether one day or 10 years) I’ll go to that place unknowingly then remember the dream when I see it. I usually dream in extreme detail. I can tell you the color of the building, scenery; I can tell you exactly what people said or did, even what they look like even if I’ve never seen them before.
I can also know about a person before I even meet them. I will see them and just know. On the first day of school this year, I was new & didn’t know anybody, but I saw this girl and got a weird feeling where I knew something would happen with me. Well, now she’s my best friend because she reached out to me. Also, we got a new girl at school and when we first met, I said “Um, do you play tennis by any chance?” She said “yeah I love it!” That kinda freaked me out. Also, another one of my friends when we first met I said “Do you like horses or ride or something?” sure enough, she did. I just get these feelings about people.
Sometimes I will know when something is about to happen. I’m learning to read the signs and energy. I saw a girl on facebook I know & thought “wow she has something coming” i didn’t know exactly what but that was 2 days ago& today she broke up with her boyfriend.
Sometimes I’ll see a certain object and know it will be brought up, damaged, or just have something happen to it within the next couple of days. I pay more attention to them then I usually do, and that’s when I know something will happen. It’s hard to explain the feeling.
Now, the medium part. I started seeing spirits when I was little. I think my first one was in 2nd grade. I was walking down a hallway at school and in the reflection of a glass door, I saw a tall person in a white robe walking right beside me. When I turned to look, there was no one there. There was no one on the other side of the door either. I think it was my guardian angel. I have seen probably 5-6 spirits in my life so far. The last occurrence wasn’t that long ago. Maybe 6 weeks or so? We had a guest speaker at school and on the stage I saw a man walk buy in a suit then just disappear. I immediately thought grandfather. I think it was the speaker’s grandfather. The spirit appeared two times on stage and when I asked my friend if they saw someone they said no.
Today, I was in class and one of my friends came and sat next to me. He mom died when she was a baby. I’m not sure how, but today when she came next to me I immediately thought “mom” and my chest started to feel really tight, almost like I couldn’t breath, but I still could. When she would walk away, it would stop. This has never happened before. i’m wondering if her mom’s spirit can tell that I’m gaining my abilities better, so she’s trying to communicate?
I know there is a spirit in my house. I can feel his energy. It always feels like there is a presence near me.
Do you think I may be a psychic medium, or am I just imagining? I really think I may be. My friends I think may be picking up on it but I’m not sure. Sometimes I freak them out with the things I do.
I want to tell my friend (if I am in fact a psychic medium), but she is, uh, no offense to anyone, but VERY Southern Baptist and doesn’t really like any of that. I’m not sure if she would accept me for who I am. I want to share this with someone, but I don’t know how. Any tips?
Sorry for my super long explanation, but I wanted to add as much detail as possible 🙂

Serious answers only? OK. No one has ever, in the history of the world, been able to show that psychic powers were real, despite millions of dollars in prize money and world-wide fame. No one ever. So no, you’re not psychic. What you’re describing is mostly the confirmation effect – you remember when you’re ‘right’ and forget when you’re wrong. That’s normal psychology, nothing paranormal. Spirits aren’t real either. It’s normal for kids your age to imagine things like this. Just look at all the other identical questions, all from kids.

Think you can simply prove it? After all, we just have your say-so and frankly that is worthless. Especially since no one has every proved such an ability.
If I said that could walk on water, would you accept that as true? Or would you need better proof? In section we get lots of people that make extraordinary claims. Then when it comes just proving it, they disappear.
Look up selective thinking in the link.

You may be psychic and sensitive…..but not a medium unless you can communicate back and forth talking or communication in some way like telepathy.

Dont Believe in Psychics???Not all of it got pasted but enough to get the point?
A study was done to understand to what extent psychic mediumship works (not how it works). The study was led by a university professor with impeccable credentials. Using five of the most credible psychic mediums in the country, a test subject underwent a reading by all five mediums. The test subject was selected by the researchers and known only to them. The controls used in the study are the following:
a. The mediums have never met the test subject. b. 10 to 15 minutes are allowed per reading.
c. The medium and test subject would be separated by a wall so that no eye contact is possible.
d. The test subject is to give only yes or no answers.
e. No information can to be shared between the medium and the subject.
The result of the study were as follows:
a. All the mediums identified the same six deceased loved ones of the subject including information about them and their passing. These include a son who committed suicide, a father with lung cancer, a mother with lung cancer, and.

Where is your citation? A ‘study’ was done? Really? When? Where? Has it been peer-reviewed and then published in a reputable, respected journal?
Do you really think intelligent, rational people are gong to believe you without proper documentation?
Learn how the world works, or get used to be laughed at.

I notice you provided no link or reference to this supposed “study.”
I’m sure you’ll understand if I don’t simply blindly “believe” what you said about it, since doing so would be intellectually lazy and rather silly.
No, I don’t “believe” in psychics.
Suggestion by Hedonism Bot
extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, sorry it doesnt prove anything and you dont say where the study come from and not even got the name of the researcher
